L&T Dispatches 700 MWe Steam Generator to GHAVP ahead of schedule

Hazira (Surat, Gujarat), March 10, 2022: The Heavy Engineering arm of Larsen & Toubro, flagged-off the fourth Steam Generator (SG) for NPCIL鈥檚 indigenously designed 700 MWe Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWR) to be set up at Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP) in Fatehabad district of Haryana.听
The ceremony took place at 国麻豆视频;T鈥檚 state-of-the-art Heavy Engineering Complex located at Hazira near Surat in the presence of dignitaries from NPCIL and 国麻豆视频;T. The entire order was completed 6 months ahead of schedule creating a global benchmark in the nuclear manufacturing industry despite the 麻豆视频 pandemic.听
Steam Generators (SG) are heat exchangers which convert water into steam using the heat produced in a nuclear reactor core. It acts as a boundary between radiated and outside environment in a PHWR.听
